This seems to be heavily inspired by Amon26's works, especially Gyossait, if you allow me to comment.
I loved the atmosphere and the story, it's simply astounding and the gameplay is great, controls are smooth and the level and enemy design was awesome.
Loved it, keep it up.

Whoa, i remember playing this a few years ago, can't believe i'm back here killing Tricky again, I also can't believe i haven't reviewed this back then, an awesome game in 2007 and even with great competition and advance in flash games, still good now, good job.

Also, the music that plays on David Firth's level isn't listed here... where is it from?

I'm in total awe here, this was incredible!
Loved the game, the hard mode and "way too easy" hat gave the game enough challenge even for a pro and the dialogs were hilarious.
Only issue is the controls, if you play with arrows, space bar seems like a poor choice of fire button... I think Z should fire and X activate super max, the keys are right beside eachother and it gives you better control of your character.
Anyway, good job!

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Comments really make my day and yours was great! Thanks for the kind words. I am working to live up to the billing! I really appreciate the play! watch for more and check us out on Facebook! Best, -Tim

Great game, an awesome tribute to both Katawa and Castlevania.
The only reason it won't my 5 stars is because of two problems:
-The controls are sluggish and slow, making it hard to react to enemies.
-Lamposts at the beginning and some candles are nearly impossible to reach, making them useless, i didn't see the point of them being there (also, hearts are important, so not reaching them to get more hearts makes the game frustrating).

I did not know this was possible in 2 days.
Great game and incrdible idea for the "10 seconds" criteria, and the theme fit perfectly with it.
I wish this game was longer, i wanna play more. Thank you for putting a time record system, at least it gives the game replay value.

Great game, considering it was made in 72 hours.
Now, how to polish the game (or keep it as reference for future games):
-First, make the enemies respawn every time you die, restarting only to jump all the way back to where you died without any challenge is tedious.
-Make challenging jumps, it adds spice to the game.
-Put coins in places difficult to reach, the score system is useless if you get the highest score possible everytime you play.
-Add variety to the boss patterns, they were pretty much the same with a small detail differing them.

Aaaanyway, awesome game, great job.

Simple awesome, loved the style, the music and the controls work fuidly, the only problem is that he walks way too slow, i had to dash the whole game to go a bit faster, he should be able sprint by tapping forward twice or something. Also, i wish i could swap the Z and X attacks, for some reason, i feel uncomfortable having a special attack in my middle finger instead of a basic move.

Anyway, good job, looking forward to the sequel!

Fantastic game, perfect gameplay and level design. Loved the music, the loop never gets repetitive at all. Also, the GB graphic style makes the perfect atmosphere, i felt like i was really playing on a GB (or maybe an emulator), i really wish there was an actual GB catridge for this game... anyway, well done, keep it up.

A great game and an original idea, i don't think the deadlines are a problem, but it does make the game pretty hard, i am one who can't upgrade enough to beat the boss, but the game is fun and rather inovating. You should consider making a big game out of that, without the deadlines and in which you would go around villages, buy equips, face giant dungeons and gauntlets and face gargantuan 8-bit bosses, like a huge adventure, because this game mechanic works well for such kind of game.

At first the game was so simple i tough it would be easy and silly... good God no, this shit is damn frustrating at the last 2 worlds, well done, man. Simplistic but awesome, 4.5. Also, where did you get all that music from??

Kolumbo responds:

Made it ourselves, also thanks.

Nothing important to say here. Over and out.
